Biography

As a shareholder in Crivello Carlson, S.C.’s Milwaukee office, George devotes a significant portion of his practice to providing business, real estate and trust and estate services.

George counsels both for-profit and not-for-profit businesses to arrive at organization, succession and reorganization solutions, including general business-related advice. His experience includes matters involving contracting, corporate governance and risk management and is premised on gaining an understanding of his clients’ financial and non-financial goals.  Because of his broad background, George is able to assist business clients in preventing needless litigation, but is also able to assist clients in navigating litigation when it becomes necessary.

In addition, George represents buyers and sellers in all phases of residential and commercial real estate transactions, including the structuring and closing of sales/acquisitions, the drafting and negotiation of leases and assisting with construction/zoning/land use issues.

Further, George assists clients in a broad range of estate planning and administration services, including estate administration, will and trust instruments and guardianships/conservatorships; and he lectures extensively in this area.  While largely a transactional aspect of his practice, George has litigated several complex estate planning issues.

Finally, rounding out his practice, George assists clients with issues arising in Creditor/Debtor, Employment and Family law contexts.

George is presently serving his third appointed term as a panel arbitrator with the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Panel of Fee Arbitrators. In this capacity he has presided as a Wis. Stats. Ch. 788 Arbitrator over several disputes that have been submitted to this division of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Since 2007, George has served as an adjunct professor at Carthage College with the Paralegal Certification Program offered through its Department of Graduate and Professional Studies.

During law school, George served as Articles Editor for the Marquette Law Review, participated in a clinical internship with the State Office of the Public Defender - Milwaukee Criminal Trials Division and served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Patricia S. Curley of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals for District I.

In addition, George delivered the valediction at the commencement of his law school class.
