Biography:
Christine M. Jahncke is a senior paralegal and paralegal manager with Crivello Carlson, S.C. Her principal area of practice is products liability litigation. Chris coordinates litigation on a national basis for a number of self-insured manufacturers. She assists attorneys in the firm with all aspects of civil litigation from the inception of suit through trial with an emphasis on document productions and use of technology. Over the years, she has had experience working on products liability actions involving such products as truck steering gears and axles, herbicides, PCBs, heart valves, pacemaker leads, punch presses, electrical controls, printing presses, forklifts, power tools, gas control valves, cranes, lawnmowers, snow throwers, boilers and water heaters.
Chris was an integral part in managing the wrongful death litigation arising out of the crane collapse at Miller Park in July, 1999. She assisted in the defense of the crane manufacturer from the day of the collapse through the trial and appeal. At the conclusion of the trial, the court found that our client’s crane was not defective. A co-defendant was found responsible for approximately $100 million in damages, making it the largest personal injury jury verdict in Wisconsin at the time.
Chris is an active voting member of the Paralegal Association of Wisconsin and a member of the American Alliance of Paralegals, Inc. (AAPI), the International Paralegal Management Association and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA). In 1998 Chris became the first paralegal in Wisconsin to attain the PACE Registered Paralegal (RP) designation from NFPA following an exam which tests the competency of experienced paralegals. Chris was awarded the AACP certification by AAPI in 2010 which recognizes a paralegal’s abilities acquired through education and work experience. Chris was also the honored recipient of the “1999 Paralegal of the Year” award issued by the Paralegal Association of Wisconsin.
